Welcome!

The Pet Chapel is a multicultural, multifaith chapel service for people who love animals, and Pet Chaplain a is a not-for-profit veterinary-pastoral care service for those who bless the animals and support the people who grieve their loss.

The videos on this page have been especially selected and organized to offer you pastoral support and to provide you information about veterinary-pastoral concerns and the human-animal bond. We hope these videos will give you solace and insight, and encourage you to act in supporting animals and the people who love and care for them. (Please pardon us if some of these videos are slightly off of our pastoral topic; however, most of them are good, and some are excellent.)

We also hope that you contact us with your comments or suggestions and consider becoming a pet chaplain, so that you may create your own veterinary-pastoral service within your organization, congregation or school. Here's how:

  1. Join Pet Chaplain and become an advocate for humans and animals. Learn how you can gain veterinary-pastoral training and experience and participate in the Pet Chaplain community.
  2. Chat with a pet chaplain or request prayers. Request chapel prayers for your animal companion by sending your request along with your animal's name to a pet chaplain. We will remember your animal in our daily Pet Chapel prayers.
  3. Participate in the Pet Chapel discussion group. Write a prayer, poem or story so that others may benefit from your support.
